[ Mediation - Preserving Relationships]
One of the attributes of Mediation is to be able to preserve relationships.
Whilst, this is admirable, it does not hold in many cases.
For instance, a small claim made by a client for damage during delivery. Neither party may be interested in preserving relationships as it is a one-off scenario.
Based on the cases I have handled, the value of preserving relationships kicks in when there is a long-standing need for it.
