While I was having a session with a divorcing couple, the husband's offer has increased the wife's frustration.
I asked him if it is the same yardstick that the wife offered him, how would he feel, considering that it was agreed. that the wife has contributed to the marriage financially and was managing the household chores along with children.
He started to realise and began to open up to a conversation about how, after a divorce, was he going to fulfil all the financial obligations. The wife similarly started to see it from the husband's point of view.
As Mr David shared in a previous post of mine in FB, with regards to parties frame of mind. The mindset metamorphosised to how do we resolve the long term problem in a controlled manner. We began exploring alternatives and working out a solution that the parties accepted.
It was a good day.
